A new effort starts this week in association with the LPGA’s State Farm Classic in Springfield, Ill. The tournament has teamed up with the Clothes Off Our Backs Foundation to raise money for children’s charities through an on-line auction of memorabilia donated by some of the top names in women’s golf. The auction begins today (July 14) and runs for two weeks at www.clothesoffourback.org.
The auction features autographed items including a Nike Golf shirt and visor from Michelle Wie, a visor donated by Karie Webb, golf shoes donated by Natalie Gulbis, a shirt from the 2007 State Farm Champion worn by Sherri Steinhauer, and a shirt and sweater vest from the Solheim Cup donated by Betsy King among other items. — Rico Williams
